High School Basketball - Mayfair tops Varsity Opponent
December 21, 2022: , Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Mayfair Monsoons (Lakewood, CA) and the host Varsity Opponent (, ), saw Mayfair's basketball squad knock off Varsity Opponent by a tally of 54-43.
With the victory, Mayfair improves its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Monsoons travel to Westchester (Los Angeles, CA) to play the Comets in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 22. The Comets come into the challenge with a record of 5-5. Westchester lost 55-35 in their recent non-league challenge against Serra (Gardena, CA)
Next up, the play the Phalen Leadership Academy Falcon (Indianapolis, IN) in a Indy Athletic Alliance challenge, on Wednesday, December 21. Varsity Opponent will attempt to improve on its 148-518 season record. The Falcon come into the challenge with a 6-4 record after their 94-44 non-league loss to Liberty Christian (Anderson, IN).
