Minnesota High School Basketball - Wadena-Deer Creek tops Aitkin
December 21, 2023: Wadena, MN 56482 Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines (Wadena, MN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Aitkin Gobblers (Aitkin, MN), 70-52 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Wadena-Deer Creek upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Frazee (Frazee, MN) to play the Hornets in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 28. The Hornets come into the bout with a record of 2-2. Frazee lost 71-57 in their recent non-league bout against Barnesville (Barnesville, MN)
Next up, the Gobblers play the Floodwood Polar Bears (Floodwood, MN) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 27. Aitkin will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Polar Bears come into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 85-44 league loss to Cook County (Grand Marais, MN).
