The Saugus Sachems tipped the visiting Amesbury Redhawks basketball team by a final score of 52-51 in Thursday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Sachems face the Winthrop Vikings (Winthrop, MA) in a Northeastern - Small game, on Wednesday, December 27. Saugus will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record.

With the defeat, Amesbury moves to 2-2 on the year. The Redhawks host Georgetown (Georgetown, MA) to face the Royals in a Cape Ann - Small game on Wednesday, January 3. The Royals enter the game with a record of 0-1. Georgetown lost 74-71 in their recent non-league game against Beverly (Beverly, MA)
