California High School Basketball - Buckley holds off Chino
December 21, 2023: Chino, CA 91710 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Buckley Griffins (Sherman Oaks, CA) and the host Chino Cowboys (Chino, CA), saw Buckley's basketball squad hold off Chino by a tally of 55-49.
With the victory, Buckley improves its record to 10-7 on the campaign. The Griffins travel to Holy Martyrs Armenian (Encino, CA) to confront the Armens in a Independence challenge on Thursday, January 4. The Armens come into the challenge with a record of 5-7.
Next up, the Cowboys confront the Bravo Knights (Los Angeles, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 26. Chino will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 94-79 league win over Wilson (Los Angeles, CA).
