Iowa High School Basketball - Hillcrest Academy crushes Cedar Valley Christian
December 21, 2023: Kalona, IA 52247 Hillcrest Academy Ravens (Kalona, IA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Cedar Valley Christian Huskies (Cedar Rapids, IA), 64-17 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Hillcrest Academy upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Ravens host Winfield-Mt. Union (Winfield, IA) to play the Wolves in a SEI - North bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 8-1. Winfield-Mt. Union won 66-13 in their recent league bout against Highland (Riverside, IA)
Next up, the Huskies play the Postville Pirates (Postville, IA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 4. Cedar Valley Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 8-3 record after their 66-48 league win over Turkey Valley (Jackson Junction, IA).
