Iowa High School Basketball - Colfax-Mingo overwhelmed by Colo-NESCO
December 21, 2023: Colfax, IA 50054 The Colo-NESCO Royals basketball team scored 66 points and restricted the host Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks to 37 in the Royals non-league victory on Thursday.
The Royals now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Don Bosco for a Iowa Star contest on Thursday, January 4. Colo-NESCO will battle a Dons team coming off a 73-41 non-league loss to Jesup (Jesup, IA). The Dons record now stands at 5-4.
The Tigerhawks (4-5) will now prepare for their contest against Belle Plaine (Belle Plaine, IA). The Plainsmen come into the South Iowa Cedar contest with a 7-2 record. In their last contest, Belle Plaine was routed by North Mahaska (New Sharon, IA), 59-42, in a league contest.
