Kentucky High School Basketball - Fleming County nips The Carmel School
December 21, 2023: Flemingsburg, KY 41041 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Fleming County Panthers (Flemingsburg, KY) and the visiting The Carmel School Wildcats (Ruther Glen, VA), saw Fleming County's basketball squad hold off The Carmel School by a count of 74-68.
With the victory, Fleming County upgrades its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Panthers host Bracken County (Brooksville, KY) to play the Polar Bears in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 26. The Polar Bears come into the challenge with a record of 1-12. Bracken County lost 83-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Holy Cross (Covington, KY)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Pulaski County Maroons (Somerset, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 23. The Carmel School will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Maroons come into the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 77-71 non-league loss to Montgomery County (Mt. Sterling, KY).
