December 21, 2023: Grant, NE 69140 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Perkins County Plainsmen (Grant, NE) and the visiting Hyannis Longhorns (Hyannis, NE), saw Perkins County's basketball squad overcome Hyannis by a tally of 48-38.
With the victory, Perkins County improves its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Plainsmen travel to Wallace (Wallace, NE) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 22. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 4-3. Wallace won 45-44 in their recent non-league challenge against South Platte (Big Springs, NE)
Next up, the Longhorns confront the Morrill Lions (Morrill, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 5. Hyannis will attempt to improve on its 7-1 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 58-33 non-league win over Sioux County (Harrison, NE).
