December 21, 2023: Jim Thorpe, PA 18229 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Jim Thorpe Olympians (Jim Thorpe, PA) and the visiting Western Wayne Wildcats (Lake Ariel, PA), saw Jim Thorpe's basketball squad hold off Western Wayne by a tally of 60-56.
With the victory, Jim Thorpe improves its record to 1-9 on the campaign. The Olympians travel to Northern Lehigh (Slatington, PA) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 27. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 1-6. Northern Lehigh lost 84-67 in their recent league challenge against Southern Lehigh (Center Valley, PA)
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Mountain View Eagles (Kingsley, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 21. Western Wayne will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 72-28 non-league loss to Wyoming Area (Exeter, PA).
