Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Show Low Cougars (Show Low, AZ) and the host Miami Vandals (Miami, AZ), saw Show Low's basketball squad overcome Miami by a tally of 66-57.

With the victory, Show Low improves its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Cougars host Payson (Payson, AZ) to confront the Longhorns in a 3A East challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Longhorns come into the challenge with a record of 6-5. Payson won 84-74 in their recent non-league challenge against Camp Verde (Camp Verde, AZ)

Next up, the Vandals confront the San Carlos Braves (San Carlos, AZ) in a 2A Valley challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Miami will attempt to improve on its 1-7 season record. The Braves come into the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 57-45 non-league win over St. Michael (St. Michaels, AZ).
