Maryland High School Basketball - Northern knocked off by Petersburg
December 21, 2023: Accident, MD 21520 The Petersburg Vikings basketball team scored 62 points and held the host Northern Huskies to 46 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Vikings now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pendleton County for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 6. Petersburg will meet a Wildcat team coming off a 64-51 non-league win over Tygarts Valley (Mill Creek, WV). The Wildcat record now stands at 2-2.
The Huskies (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Conemaugh Township (Davidsville, PA). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 7-1 record. In their last contest, Conemaugh Township ran past Portage (Portage, PA), 71-60, in a league contest.
