California High School Basketball - Viewpoint nips Rio Mesa

December 21, 2023: Calabasas, CA 91302

Viewpoint Patriots (Calabasas, CA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Rio Mesa Spartans (Oxnard, CA), 49-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Viewpoint upgrades its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Torrance (Torrance, CA) to play the Tartars in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 27. The Tartars come into the bout with a record of 4-12. Torrance lost 55-38 in their recent non-league bout against Kennedy (La Palma, CA)

Next up, the Spartans play the Ventura Cougars (Ventura, CA) in a Channel bout, on Friday, January 5. Rio Mesa will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record.
