In Thursday's non-league match, the host Alma Panthers basketball team scored a good 60-42 triumph over the Shepherd Bluejays.

In their next game, the Panthers meet the Chippewa Hills Warriors (Remus, MI) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, January 3. Alma will attempt to move on its 5-1 season record. The Warriors enter the match with a 1-5 record after their 67-16 league loss to Reed City (Reed City, MI).
