Iowa High School Basketball - Riceville crushes Charles City
December 21, 2023: Riceville, IA 50466 Riceville Wildcats (Riceville, IA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Charles City Comets (Charles City, IA), 67-36 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Riceville upgrades its record to 10-0 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Nashua-Plainfield (Nashua, IA) to clash with the Huskies in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Huskies go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Nashua-Plainfield won 42-21 in their recent non-league bout against Tripoli (Tripoli, IA)
Next up, the Comets clash with the New Hampton Chickasaws (New Hampton, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 22. Charles City will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Chickasaws go into the bout with a 2-7 record after their 79-75 non-league loss to Kee (Lansing, IA).
