Ponte Vedra Sharks (Ponte Vedra, FL) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Chestatee War Eagles (Gainesville, GA), 51-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Ponte Vedra upgrades its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Sharks host James Madison (Vienna, VA) to play the Warhawks in a non-league bout on Friday, December 22. The Warhawks come into the bout with a record of 4-6. James Madison won 34-33 in their recent non-league bout against McDowell (Erie, PA)

Next up, the War Eagles play the Flowery Branch Falcons (Flowery Branch, GA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 27. Chestatee will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record. The Falcons come into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 57-35 non-league loss to Dawson County (Dawsonville, GA).
