Texas High School Basketball - Connally overwhelms Mexia
December 21, 2023: Mexia, TX 76667 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Connally Cadets (Waco, TX) and the host Mexia Black Cats (Mexia, TX), saw Connally's basketball squad wallop Mexia by a tally of 59-36.
With the victory, Connally improves its record to 13-8 on the campaign. The Cadets travel to China Spring (China Spring, TX) to confront the Cougars in a 4A Region III District 23 challenge on Friday, January 5. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 5-12.
Next up, the Black Cats confront the Elkhart Elks (Elkhart, TX) in a 3A Region III District 20 challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Mexia will attempt to improve on its 7-9 season record.
