West Virginia High School Basketball - Mountain Ridge tops Preston

Mountain Ridge Miners (Frostburg, MD) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV), 41-30 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Mountain Ridge upgrades its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The Miners travel to Trinity (Washington, PA) to play the Hillers in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Hillers come into the bout with a record of 4-1.

Next up, the Knights play the Hedgesville Eagles (Hedgesville, WV) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 22. Preston will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 4-0 record after their 50-41 non-league win over Berkeley Springs (Berkeley Springs, WV).
