Virginia High School Basketball - Staunton River winner over Narrows
December 21, 2023: Narrows, VA 24124 The Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA) basketball felled the host Narrows Green Waves (Narrows, VA), 56-38 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Golden Eagles (6-4) will now prepare for their test against Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA). The Cavaliers go into the Blue Ridge test with a 6-1 record. In their last test, Lord Botetourt thwarted Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA), 67-30, in a non-league test.
The Green Waves now own a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to Betsy Layne for a non-league test on Wednesday, December 27. Narrows will encounter a Bobcats squad coming off a 58-43 non-league win over Jenkins (Jenkins, KY). The Bobcats record now stands at 7-2.
