In Thursday's non-league match, the host Sierra Grande Panthers basketball team scored a tight 33-32 triumph over the Primero Bulldogs.

In their next game, the Panthers meet the Evangel Christian Academy Eagles (Colorado Springs, CO) in a non-league match, on Saturday, January 6. Sierra Grande will attempt to move on its 1-5 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 5-1 record after their 49-46 non-league win over Cotopaxi (Cotopaxi, CO).
