Georgia High School Basketball - Sumter County overwhelms West Laurens

December 21, 2023: Dexter, GA 31019

Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Sumter County Panthers (Americus, GA) and the host West Laurens Raiders (Dexter, GA), saw Sumter County's basketball squad wallop West Laurens by a tally of 63-42.

With the victory, Sumter County improves its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Hoover (Hoover, AL) to play the Buccaneers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 27. The Buccaneers come into the challenge with a record of 9-4. Hoover won 67-48 in their recent non-league challenge against Central (Phenix City, AL)

Next up, the Raiders play the Perry Panthers (Perry, GA) in a AAAA Region 2 challenge, on Friday, January 5. West Laurens will attempt to improve on its 5-6 season record.
