In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Fergus Golden Eagles basketball team scored a close 38-34 triumph over the Bigfork Vikings & Valkyries.

The Golden Eagles (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Laurel (Laurel, MT). The Locomotives go into the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Laurel was tipped by Frenchtown (Frenchtown, MT), 62-30, in a non-league contest.
