Maine High School Basketball - Waynflete nudges Boothbay
December 21, 2024: Portland, ME 04102 The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Waynflete Flyers (Portland, ME) and the visiting Boothbay Seahawks (Boothbay Harbor, ME), observed Waynflete's basketball team edge Boothbay by a score of 54-52.
The Flyers (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Monmouth Academy (Monmouth, ME). The Mustangs come into the C South challenge with a 4-1 record. In their last challenge, Monmouth Academy edged Mountain Valley (Rumford, ME), 54-31, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Seahawks encounter the Traip Rangers (Kittery, ME) in a C South challenge, on Friday, December 27. Boothbay will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record. The Rangers come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 40-32 non-league loss to Massabesic (Waterboro, ME).
