December 21, 2024: Kingsport, TN 37664 The Dobyns-Bennett Indians (Kingsport, TN) basketball toppled the visiting Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY), 114-105 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Indians now possess a 12-2 record. They play next when they travel to North Tampa Christian Academy for a non-league bout on Friday, December 27. Dobyns-Bennett will play a Titans team coming off a 101-24 non-league win over Bourgade Catholic (Phoenix, AZ). The Titans record now stands at 11-4.
With the loss, Boyd County falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Bath County (Owingsville, KY) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, January 3. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 1-5.
