The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) and the host Butler Bulldogs (Augusta, GA), observed Independence's basketball team knock off Butler by a score of 58-48.

The Patriots (9-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Lancaster (Lancaster, SC). The Bruins come into the non-league challenge with a 8-1 record. In their last challenge, Lancaster prevailed over Chambers (Charlotte, NC), 80-60, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Bulldogs encounter the Campbell Spartans (Smyrna, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 26. Butler will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 7-3 record after their 82-68 non-league loss to North Cobb Christian (Kennesaw, GA).
