December 21, 2024: Trumann, AR 72472 The Trumann Wildcats (Trumann, AR) basketball edged the visiting Corning Bobcats (Corning, AR), 63-61 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Wildcats now possess a 1-6 record. They play next when they host Rivercrest for a non-league bout on Thursday, January 2. Trumann will play a Colts team coming off a 60-36 league loss to Manila (Manila, AR). The Colts record now stands at 4-3.
With the loss, Corning falls to 5-10 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Riverside (Lake City, AR) to play the Rebels in a 2A Region 3 bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 17-2. Riverside won 77-54 in their recent league bout against Cross County (Cherry Valley, AR)
