In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Custer County Bobcats basketball team scored a big 64-24 triumph over the La Veta Redhawks.

The Bobcats (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Sanford (Sanford, CO). The Mustangs go into the non-league contest with a 6-3 record.

In their next game, the Redhawks battle the Manzanola Bobcats (Manzanola, CO) in a 1A Fishers Peak contest, on Thursday, January 9. La Veta will attempt to better on its 3-4 season record. The Bobcats go into the contest with a 0-4 record after their 51-21 non-league loss to Cheraw (Cheraw, CO).
