Nebraska High School Basketball - Sidney holds off East
December 21, 2024: Sidney, NE 69162 In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Sidney Red Raiders basketball team scored a close 67-63 triumph over the East Thunderbirds.
The Red Raiders (6-0) will now prepare for their contest against Lexington (Lexington, NE). The Minutemen go into the non-league contest with a 1-5 record. In their last contest, Lexington nipped Schuyler (Schuyler, NE), 43-35, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Thunderbirds confront the Sheridan Broncs (Sheridan, WY) in a 4A East contest, on Friday, January 17. East will attempt to better on its 4-3 season record. The Broncs go into the contest with a 5-0 record after their 54-41 non-league win over Natrona County (Casper, WY).
