New York High School Basketball - Frewsburg can't hold off Ellicottville

Ellicottville Eagles (Ellicottville, NY) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Frewsburg Bears (Frewsburg, NY), 57-51 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Ellicottville upgrades its record to 3-2 on the year. The Eagles travel to Cassadaga Valley (Sinclairville, NY) to face the Cougars in a non-league match on Thursday, January 2. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 0-4. Cassadaga Valley lost 56-29 in their recent non-league match against Pine Valley Central (South Dayton, NY)

The Bears now sport a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Panama for a non-league match on Monday, December 23. Frewsburg will face a Panthers squad coming off a 77-55 league loss to Westfield (Westfield, NY). The Panthers record now stands at 2-1.
