Illinois High School Basketball - Havana routed by Eureka
December 21, 2024: Eureka, IL 61530 Eureka Hornets (Eureka, IL) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Havana Ducks (Havana, IL), 74-30 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Eureka advances its record to 4-5 on the year. The Hornets travel to Ridgeview (Colfax, IL) to face the Mustangs in a Heart of Illinois match on Friday, January 3. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 5-2.
The Ducks now own a 2-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Williamsville for a non-league match on Thursday, December 26. Havana will face a Bullets squad coming off a 62-30 non-league win over El Paso-Gridley (El Paso, IL). The Bullets record now stands at 9-0.
