December 21, 2024: Peoria, IL 61604 Fenwick Friars (Oak Park, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Peoria Lions (Peoria, IL), 42-28 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Fenwick upgrades its record to 9-2 on the year. The Friars travel to Andrew (Tinley Park, IL) to face the Thunderbolts in a non-league match on Thursday, December 26. The Thunderbolts enter the match with a record of 5-6. Andrew won 53-44 in their recent league match against Sandburg (Orland Park, IL)
The Lions now sport a 10-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Peoria for a non-league match on Thursday, January 2. Peoria will face a Raiders squad coming off a 71-55 non-league win over Jacksonville (Jacksonville, IL). The Raiders record now stands at 9-2.
