Maine High School Basketball - Gray-New Gloucester can't hold off Marshwood
December 21, 2024: Gray, ME 04039 Marshwood Hawks (South Berwick, ME) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Gray-New Gloucester Patriots (Gray, ME), 56-55 in a league match.
With the victory, Marshwood advances its record to 5-2 on the year. The Hawks host Biddeford (Biddeford, ME) to face the Tigers in a A South match on Monday, December 30. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 2-2.
The Patriots now own a 1-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Edward Little for a non-league match on Friday, December 27. Gray-New Gloucester will face a Red Eddies squad coming off a 57-46 non-league win over Mt. Blue (Farmington, ME). The Red Eddies record now stands at 3-2.
