Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Kiski Area bested by Greensburg Central Catholic
December 21, 2024: Greensburg, PA 15601 Greensburg Central Catholic Centurions (Greensburg, PA) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Kiski Area Cavaliers (Vandergrift, PA), 66-53 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Greensburg Central Catholic advances its record to 8-0 on the year. The Centurions host Hempfield Area (Greensburg, PA) to meet the Spartans in a non-league match on Friday, December 27. The Spartans enter the match with a record of 4-4. Hempfield Area lost 56-45 in their recent non-league match against Belle Vernon (Belle Vernon, PA)
The Cavaliers now own a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Armstrong for a WPIAL 5A 2 match on Friday, January 3. Kiski Area will meet a River Hawks squad coming off a 65-32 league loss to Penn Hills (Pittsburgh, PA). The River Hawks record now stands at 3-5.
