Illinois High School Basketball - Sandoval nips Lovejoy
December 21, 2024: Lovejoy, IL 62059 In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Sandoval Blackhawks basketball team scored a close 1-0 triumph over the Lovejoy Wildcats.
The Blackhawks (6-9) will now prepare for their contest against Edwards County (Albion, IL). The Lions go into the non-league contest with a 10-3 record. In their last contest, Edwards County nipped North Clay/Clay City (Louisville, IL), 64-51, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Crab Orchard Trojans (Marion, IL) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 3. Lovejoy will attempt to better on its 0-7 season record. The Trojans go into the contest with a 7-4 record after their 79-55 non-league loss to Grayville (Grayville, IL).
