Washington High School Basketball - Lynden nips Stanwood

In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Lynden Lions basketball team scored a close 57-51 triumph over the Stanwood Spartans.

The Lions (5-0) will now prepare for their contest against Annie Wright (Tacoma, WA). The Gators go into the non-league contest with a 6-0 record. In their last contest, Annie Wright nipped Cascade Christian (Puyallup, WA), 72-54, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Spartans battle the Mater Dei Monarchs (Santa Ana, CA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, December 26. Stanwood will attempt to better on its 0-6 season record. The Monarchs go into the contest with a 8-3 record after their 66-53 non-league win over Edgewater (Orlando, FL).
