In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Manistee Chippewas basketball team scored a good 51-43 triumph over the Shelby Tigers.

The Chippewas (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Ludington (Ludington, MI). The Orioles go into the Western Michigan Lakes - Lakes contest with a 4-2 record.
