Pennsylvania High School Basketball - McGuffey fells St. John-Vianney
December 21, 2024: Claysville, PA 15323 The McGuffey Highlanders basketball team scored 50 points and limited the visiting St. John-Vianney Lancers to 37 in the Highlanders non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Highlanders now have a 7-1 record. They play next when they host Fort Cherry for a non-league game on Friday, December 27. McGuffey will confront a Rangers team coming off a 71-58 league loss to Bethlehem Center (Fredericktown, PA). The Rangers record now stands at 2-5.
With the loss, St. John-Vianney falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to Manasquan (Manasquan, NJ) to confront the Warriors in a Shore A - Central game on Thursday, December 26. The Warriors go into the game with a record of 2-1. Manasquan won 57-55 in their recent league game against Rumson-Fair Haven (Rumson, NJ)
