The Northern Valley Huskies basketball squad (Almena, KS), was nudged 50-45 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Thunder Ridge Longhorns (Kensington, KS)

With the victory, Thunder Ridge advances its record to 4-2 on the year. The Longhorns host Osborne (Osborne, KS) to meet the Bulldogs in a Northern Plains battle on Tuesday, January 7. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a record of 0-5.

The Huskies now own a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Alma for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 7.
