Illinois High School Basketball - West Aurora holds off Thornton Fractional North
December 21, 2024: Calumet City, IL 60409 The West Aurora Blackhawks basketball team scored 54 points and limited the host Thornton Fractional North Meteors to 49 in the Blackhawks non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Blackhawks now have a 5-5 record. They play next when they travel to Bloom for a non-league game on Thursday, December 26. West Aurora will confront a Blazing Trojan team coming off a 68-62 league loss to Kankakee (Kankakee, IL). The Blazing Trojan record now stands at 7-2.
With the loss, Thornton Fractional North falls to 5-3 on the campaign. The Meteors travel to Hansberry (Chicago, IL) to confront the Bengals in a non-league game on Monday, December 23. The Bengals go into the game with a record of 3-5. Hansberry won 73-70 in their recent league game against Bulls College Prep (Chicago, IL)
