The Weequahic Indians (Newark, NJ) basketball crushed the host University Phoenix (Newark, NJ), 73-48 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Indians now possess a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Science Park for a non-league bout on Monday, December 23. Weequahic will play a Chargers team coming off a 65-23 non-league loss to Montclair (Montclair, NJ). The Chargers record now stands at 0-3.
