Washington High School Basketball - Cascade can't hold off Blaine
December 21, 2024: Everett, WA 98203 Blaine Borderites (Blaine, WA) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Cascade Bruins (Everett, WA), 29-25 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Blaine upgrades its record to 2-5 on the year. The Borderites travel to Squalicum (Bellingham, WA) to face the Storm in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest match on Friday, January 3. The Storm enter the match with a record of 3-4.
The Bruins now sport a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oak Harbor for a non-league match on Friday, December 27. Cascade will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 45-35 league loss to Mount Vernon (Mount Vernon, WA). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-6.
