December 21, 2024: Calhoun City, MS 38916 The Calhoun City Wildcats (Calhoun City, MS) basketball were winner over the visiting J.Z. George Jaguars (North Carrollton, MS), 38-23 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Wildcats now possess a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to Coffeeville for a non-league bout on Friday, January 3. Calhoun City will play a Pirates team coming off a 50-31 non-league loss to Water Valley (Water Valley, MS). The Pirates record now stands at 0-12.
With the loss, J.Z. George falls to 3-9 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Simmons (Hollandale, MS) to play the Blue Devils in a non-league bout on Friday, December 27. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 12-0. Simmons won 60-26 in their recent non-league bout against Leflore County (Itta Bena, MS)
