South Dakota High School Basketball - McLaughlin holds off Custer
December 21, 2024: McLaughlin, SD 57642 The McLaughlin Mustangs basketball team scored 43 points and limited the visiting Custer Wildcats to 38 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Mustangs now possess a 4-2 record. They play next when they host Mandaree for a non-league game on Friday, December 27. McLaughlin will confront a Warriors team coming off a 44-37 non-league loss to New Town (New Town, ND). The Warriors record now stands at 1-2.
With the loss, Custer falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Sioux Valley (Volga, SD) to confront the Cossacks in a non-league game on Friday, January 3. The Cossacks go into the game with a record of 3-1. Sioux Valley won 61-47 in their recent non-league game against Arlington (Arlington, SD)
