Virginia High School Basketball - McLean toppled by Edison
December 21, 2024: Alexandria, VA 22310 Edison Eagles (Alexandria, VA) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting McLean Highlanders (McLean, VA), 31-22 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Edison advances its record to 8-1 on the year. The Eagles travel to Justice (Falls Church, VA) to face the Wolves in a District 3 match on Friday, January 3. The Wolves enter the match with a record of 4-3.
The Highlanders now own a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart for a non-league match on Thursday, January 2. McLean will face a Gators squad coming off a 68-58 non-league win over Springdale Prep (New Windsor, MD). The Gators record now stands at 5-3.
