West Virginia High School Basketball - Lower Richland held off by University

In Saturday's non-league test, the University Hawks (Morgantown, WV) basketball squad got by the visiting Lower Richland Diamond Hornets (Hopkins, SC), by a score of 61-55.

Next, the Hawks encounter the Andrew Jackson Volunteers (Kershaw, SC) in a non-league test, on Monday, December 23. University will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Volunteers come into the test with a 8-2 record after their 55-45 non-league win over Heathwood Hall Episcopal (Columbia, SC).

The Diamond Hornets (9-1) will now prepare for their test against Northridge (Dayton, OH). The Polar Bears come into the non-league test with a 6-3 record. In their last test, Northridge was nipped by Trinity Collegiate (Darlington, SC), 64-51, in a non-league test.
