Maryland High School Basketball - McDonogh holds off North Point
December 21, 2024: Waldorf, MD 20603 The McDonogh Eagles basketball team scored 45 points and limited the host North Point Eagles to 40 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Eagles now possess a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to Ursuline Academy for a non-league game on Sunday, December 29. McDonogh will confront a Raiders team coming off a 58-55 non-league loss to Cathedral (Boston, MA). The Raiders record now stands at 3-1.
With the loss, North Point falls to 3-1 on the campaign. The Eagles host Northern (Owings, MD) to confront the Patriots in a Southern Maryland game on Friday, January 3. The Patriots go into the game with a record of 2-2. Northern won 48-25 in their recent non-league game against Calvert (Prince Frederick, MD)
