The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the St. Bonaventure Seraphs (Ventura, CA) and the host San Marcos Royals (Santa Barbara, CA), observed St. Bonaventure's basketball team edge San Marcos by a score of 45-43.

The Seraphs (10-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Camarillo (Camarillo, CA). The Scorpions come into the non-league challenge with a 5-4 record. In their last challenge, Camarillo edged West (Torrance, CA), 49-38, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Royals encounter the Cabrillo Conquistadores (Lompoc, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 3. San Marcos will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record.
