The Mount Vernon Bulldogs basketball team scored 70 points and held the host Sehome Mariners to 59 in the Bulldogs league triumph on Wednesday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Kitsap for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 29. Mount Vernon will battle a Wolves team coming off a 57-47 non-league loss to Squalicum (Bellingham, WA). The Wolves record now stands at 4-3.

The Mariners (6-1) will now prepare for their contest against North Kitsap (Poulsbo, WA). The Vikings enter the non-league contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, North Kitsap was defeated by Mt. Spokane (Mead, WA), 67-65, in a non-league contest.
