The Peninsula Catholic Knights (Newport News, VA) basketball nipped the host Bishop O'Dowd Dragons (Oakland, CA), 56-53 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Knights (10-4) will now prepare for their test against First Baptist School (Charleston, SC). The Hurricanes go into the non-league test with a 7-1 record. In their last test, First Baptist School got by St. John's Christian Academy (Moncks Corner, SC), 80-57, in a non-league test.

The Dragons now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to St. John's for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 27. Bishop O'Dowd will encounter a Cadets squad coming off a 65-59 non-league win over Goretti (Hagerstown, MD). The Cadets record now stands at 8-0.
