Casteel Colts (Queen Creek, AZ) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Buckeye Hawks (Buckeye, AZ), 50-38 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Casteel upgrades its record to 8-6 on the campaign. The Colts travel to Ironwood (Glendale, AZ) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 7-4. Ironwood won 49-46 in their recent non-league bout against Rancho Verde (Moreno Valley, CA)

Next up, the Hawks play the Estrella Foothills Wolves (Goodyear, AZ) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Buckeye will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Wolves come into the bout with a 6-5 record after their 59-40 non-league win over Mountain Ridge (Glendale, AZ).
