The Cathedral Catholic Dons basketball team scored 70 points and held the host Helix Highlanders to 68 in the Dons non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Dons now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hoover for a Western contest on Friday, January 6.

The Highlanders (5-9) will now prepare for their contest against Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, CA). The Matadors enter the non-league contest with a 1-8 record. In their last contest, Mount Miguel was nudged by Sweetwater (National City, CA), 55-54, in a non-league contest.
